Susan has established a successful career as a Human Resources Consultant. She has worked on numerous HR related projects across the Private, Public & Voluntary sectors.

Significantly she worked with Arup to develop an HR Information Strategy to link the HR Strategy to the overall Business Strategy & enhance the reputation of HR within the business. She has been involved with the Public Sector change agenda, specifically with the Department of Health where she was involved in the development of a new competency framework & performance management system & its implementation through the use of new technology. While she developed the Talent & Performance Management Strategy for London Fire & Emergency Planning Authority for close to 6000 uniformed officers.

Early on in her career within Human Resources, Susan recognised the potential for technology to propel HR forward as a strategic business partner. As a result she has done a lot of work to optimise the use of technology across all areas of HR. This has meant that she has been involved in the planning, implementation & optimisation of HRIS systems. Such interventions have enabled HR teams to use technology to work more effectively; reducing time spent on administration & working more strategic.

During this time Susan has achieved Diplomas in Personnel Management & the Art of Systems Thinking; a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resources with a specialism in organisational consultancy & a Masters in Human Resources Strategy & Change. She is a member of both the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development (CIPD) & The International Association for Human Resource Information (IHRIM). She is also a Common Purpose graduate and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (RSA)

Susan’s experience in Human Resources has been enriched by the vast amount of experience she has gained working in Operational Management, Career Outplacement, Education Appeals Systems, Systems Implementation & Development, Business Analysis & Investor Relations. Based in Milton Keynes, Susan is an active member of IHRIM & both her local Chamber of Commerce & CIPD branches.

Susan additionally, serves as a Partnership Governor for The Hazeley School where she chairs the Support & Development Committee, a member of the Chairs & Executives Committee, Curriculum Committee, Development Governor and the Link Governor for Art. She also serves as a Young Enterprise judge and a Business Ambassador for Countec Education Business Partnership.
